MAKE GOOD THINGS HAPPEN

Fredrick (Fred) Allen, Utah State President

“Making Good Things Happen” is what AUSA, Association of the United States Army, is all about. Mike Menser was elected as the new president of the Utah Chapter AUSA at our general membership meeting, 11 January 2018. The Seventh Region President, Sam Thiessen was with us and addressed the members that attended. He welcomed Mike and took some time to thank Penny Cook, the outgoing president, for the outstanding work she did in leading the chapter for the past two years.

Mike has hit the ground running and will be out front executing a program of events he has already published. The Utah Chapter will be even better in fulfilling the mission of “Voice for the Army – Support for the Soldier”.

America is facing some challenging times. AUSA will keep us informed about the condition of our Army and what we can do to keep it strong and ready to be successful in a broad range of missions. Its Institute of Land Warfare, its congressional liaison functions and its publications are a gold mine for citizens who care about our country and our soldiers.

I encourage you to stay involved by keeping your membership up to date, inviting your friends, family and associates to join AUSA (easily done by going to ausa.org), and by joining us in meetings and activities. As a vibrant organization, we can truly “Make Good Things Happen” in keeping our Army strong and in taking care of our soldiers.
